Last Month, our founder, Steven Bethell, had the honour to be this year’s keynote speaker for the Secondary Materials and Recycled Textiles Association (SMART) Summit in Dubai.
Steven spoke about the Threats, Opportunities and Responsibilities of our Industry. One of the biggest Opportunities is what the future holds for our businesses, and the incredible opportunities we have to help stop climate change. “After 25 years, I am so excited about what is to come in the future. For the first time, brands are seeing that used should be a part of the new economy. That second hand can be an input into new manufacturing. BVH’s Newest Collaboration with Converse
Introducing our 10th Collaboration with Converse for two Chuck Taylor 70 Cord Shoes.
In this latest drop Converse uses upcycled vintage cord garments from Beyond Retro to create a beautiful silhouette for a high and low CT70. The BVH Component Division, supports Beyond Retro by selecting vintage cord garments from secondhand clothes, which are then processed, clean and cut to the specifications needed for each shoe.
With every Converse collaboration we are able to save thousands of secondhand textiles from landfills, as well as create a beautiful and unique shoe that can be worn by many around the world. BVH is proud to have partners like Converse, who work together to create a more circular economy in the Fashion Industry.

Steven had the opportunity to speak with Fashion Network to discuss our family of businesses and some insights about the work we do. As well as sharing his hopes for the future.

We have an eye to be able to pick for style and quality and now we have this new talent of being able to remanufacture.”
